Baseball Game Preview: Taylor County Vikings vs. Crawford County Eagles

Taylor County is 0-10 against Crawford County since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Crawford County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Taylor County, who comes in off a win.

While Taylor County's win against Chattahoochee County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted against the Panthers since March 31, 2023.

Meanwhile, Crawford County didn't have quite enough to beat Wilcox County on Thursday and fell 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly two runs.

Taylor County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Taylor County couldn't quite finish off Crawford County when the teams last played back in April of 2025 and fell 6-4. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
