Basketball Recap: Raymond Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against Conestoga

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Raymond Central). They claimed a resounding 77-37 victory over the Conestoga Cougars. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayla Garrett, who posted 13 points. What's more, Garrett also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Grace Rodis was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Raymond Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26 points. As for Conestoga, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raymond Central will venture away from home to challenge Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Conestoga, they will head out to square off against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
