Basketball Game Preview: Ballou Knights vs. Dunbar Crimson Tide + How To Watch

Ballou is 2-7 against Dunbar since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Knights will be home for the holidays to greet the Crimson Tide at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Ballou is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Bell, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Ballou was ranked 21st). The Knights enjoyed a cozy 56-42 win over the Griffins on Friday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

While Dunbar didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past Fairmont Heights with a 64-59 win on Saturday. With that victory, the Crimson Tide brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Dunbar's win came from a few key players Ballou will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aden Brown, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. His big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Radley Strong, who shot 64% from the field en route to 19 points and five assists.

Dunbar's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Ballou, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.
