Basketball Recap: Rocky Grove Comes Up Short

Rocky Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 46-38 to the Commodore Perry Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-49 back in January.

Commodore Perry found their leader in freshman Bella Saxe, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds. Eastin Post was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Rocky Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Commodore Perry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Rocky Grove will be playing at home against Jamestown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Saegertown has lost three straight at home , while Commodore Perry has lost three on the road.
