Soccer Recap: South Atlanta Takes a Loss

After flying high against Washington last Monday, South Atlanta came back down to earth. The South Atlanta Hornets came up short against the Salem Seminoles on Tuesday, falling 5-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seminoles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in February.

South Atlanta's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, South Atlanta will host KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. South Atlanta will be up against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.33 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Salem, they are taking a road trip to face off against Alcovy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Salem is facing Alcovy at the right time seeing as Alcovy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
