Soccer Recap: Mammoth Comes Up Short

Mammoth and Porterville squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mammoth had to settle for second. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Porterville Panthers who were credited with the win. The Porterville Panthers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Mammoth Huskies' three. Kayla Fierro is probably feeling rather frustrated with she team right now: they lost despite she posting three goals.

Mammoth's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Porterville, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Mammoth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Porterville, they will face off against McLane at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McLane is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
