Softball Recap: Kingfisher Yellowjackets vs. Plainview Indians
Kingfisher extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 13-7. They lost 8-1 to the Plainview Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Thursday.
Kennedy Stewart was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Kingfisher saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liliana Garramone, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
As for Plainview, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games.
On Plainview's side, Allie Wood was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits Wood has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Kamrey Martin, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
As of now, neither Kingfisher nor Plainview have any future games scheduled.
