Football Recap: Highland's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Highland fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Denver West on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 13-7 to the Cowboys. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Highland still got an impressive performance from Tyler Varra, who rushed for 90 yards and one score.

Even if they lost, Highland's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Audie Lewis with two. Another thorn in Denver West's side was Brogan Palmer, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
