Soccer Recap: Clear Fork Comes Up Short

After flying high against Galion on Tuesday, Clear Fork came back down to earth. The Colts fell just short of the Ashland Arrows by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Clear Fork were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three matchups prior), but Ashland's defense proved too tough.

Clear Fork moved to 9-6-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Ashland, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Coming up, Clear Fork will be taking part in a tournament against Galion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clear Fork will be up against Galion's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.71 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Ashland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
