Basehor-Linwood and De Soto are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. The Bobcats will take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Basehor-Linwood comes in on nine and De Soto on three.

Basehor-Linwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-10 win over Blue Valley Southwest. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bobcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 89th).

It was another big night for Carson Dixon, who rushed for 104 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 166 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for De Soto against Highland Park on Friday as the squad secured a 49-16 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.

A big part of De Soto's win came down to the chemistry between Ben Parks and his top target Will Morton. Parks rushed for 112 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries while Morton rushed for 107 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. The dominant performance also gave Parks a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

De Soto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Basehor-Linwood's record now sits at 9-0. As for De Soto, their record is now 7-2.

Basehor-Linwood didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against De Soto when the teams last played back in September, but they still walked away with a 42-38 victory. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
