Recap: Don Lugo Conquistadores vs. Chaffey Tigers
If the Don Lugo Conquistadores were feeling good off their 71-19 takedown of the Baldwin Park Braves on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Don Lugo lost to Chaffey at home by a decisive 55-41 margin on Thursday. Don Lugo has not had much luck with Chaffey recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Don Lugo lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sienna Robles, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Robles pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Issabela Medina, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds.
Don Lugo has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Chaffey, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Don Lugo will head out on the road to face off against Ontario at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ontario will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Chaffey will take on Montclair at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
