Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Westmont Warriors, falling 8-1. If the 76ers were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Westmont, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8-1.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Lincoln on the 23rd. Westmont has also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Willow Glen on the 23rd.
