Softball Recap: St. Michael the Archangel's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but St. Michael the Archangel unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Lexington Minutemen by a score of 7-6. The Guardians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Minutemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

St. Michael the Archangel's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Lexington, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, St. Michael the Archangel will be taking part in a tournament against Lafayette County at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lexington, they will face off against Knob Noster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.8 runs per game on average), something the Minutemen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
