Baseball Game Preview: Sebeka Trojans vs. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves

The Sebeka Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley will be up against a hot Sebeka squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Trojans' way against Browerville on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-1 win. That 15-run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Gunnar Ament was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Max Lake was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Parker Kiser, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Sebeka always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley made easy work of Laporte on Tuesday and carried off a 15-7 victory.

Sebeka's record is now 17-2. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, their record now sits at 13-4.

Everything went Sebeka's way against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Sebeka made off with a 13-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
