The Yucca Valley Trojans will take on the Twentynine Palms Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Thursday, Yucca Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-49 to Coachella Valley. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mighty Arabs 13-5 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Twentynine Palms unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palm Desert.

Yucca Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Twentynine Palms, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4.

Things could have been worse for Yucca Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-33 loss to Twentynine Palms in their previous meeting last Thursday.
