Collins Hill came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the Newnan Cougars. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Collins Hill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Atticus Joseph, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Collins Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Newnan, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collins Hill will head out to face off against Redan at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newnan, they are taking a road trip to challenge Morrow at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.7 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
