Baseball Recap: Coastal HomeSchool Find Success

Coastal HomeSchool's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats by a score of 7-4. This was a revenge game for the Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Wildcats on Saturday, they had to take a 10-0 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Saul Issa, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Coastal HomeSchool is 2-1 when Issa posts two or more runs, but 11-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Poppell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Coastal HomeSchool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Coastal HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-9 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coastal HomeSchool will venture away from home to face off against St. Andrew's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they will challenge St. John's at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Islanders have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
