            Football Recap: Wabaunsee Chargers vs. Mission Valley Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Wabaunsee lost to Mission Valley  back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Chargers took down the Vikings 36-21. The  win was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on three straight.

 Wabaunsee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Maddox Weishaar and  Cutter Murray. Weishaar has become a key player for Wabaunsee: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  one  interception, but 0-3 otherwise.
 Despite the loss, Mission Valley still got an impressive performance from   Rykin Kraus, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs. Kraus was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards. Mission Valley also got a significant boost from  Ian Deters, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
Wabaunsee now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mission Valley,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-4.
 Looking ahead, Wabaunsee will venture away from home to  face off against Rossville  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Chargers' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 41.6  points per game this season. As for Mission Valley, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Maranatha Christian Academy  at 7:00  p.m. The Vikings will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.14  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
