Softball Recap: Ringgold Takes a Loss

Ringgold was the 8-0 winner over Bethlehem Christian Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Emorie Coles was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ringgold saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jillian Eaker, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Ringgold's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Ringgold will be playing at home against Hebron Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against North Murray at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
