Basketball Recap: Episcopal Academy Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Episcopal Academy won the last time they faced Agnes Irwin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Episcopal Academy Churchmen walked away with a 31-23 win over the Agnes Irwin Owls. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Churchmen.

Despite the defeat, Agnes Irwin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bailey Perkins posted eight points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Seibert, who scored six points and five steals.

Episcopal Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.7 points over those games. As for Agnes Irwin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.

Episcopal Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mercersburg Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 21st. Agnes Irwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
