Baseball Recap: Johns Creek Takes a Loss

Johns Creek suffered their closest loss since February 25th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Seckinger Jaguars by a score of 9-7. The Gladiators have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Luke Volpe made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Sean Kennedy, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Johns Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Seckinger, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

While Johns Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
