Boulder hasn't had much luck against Riverdale Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Ravens at 5:00 p.m. Boulder has given up an average of 18.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Boulder lost 18-2 to Prairie View on Saturday.
Boulder saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alissa Zacharewicz, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Brighton. Considering the Ravens have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Aubri Lerch, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Brighton off the board. Lerch has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyton Saenz, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Samantha Simmons, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Riverdale Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Riverdale Ridge's record now sits at 14-6. As for Boulder, their loss dropped their record down to 0-19.
Boulder might still be hurting after the 27-1 defeat they got from Riverdale Ridge in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
