Volleyball Recap: Rockford Christian Royal Lions vs. Antioch Sequoits
Rockford Christian lost to Antioch back in September of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Royal Lions skirted past the Sequoits 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Royal Lions have posted since October 1st.
Their offense was headlined by Devon Turner and Josephine Becker, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Kayla Kruger and her ten assists. Turner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Rockford Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-5 record this season. As for Antioch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-23.
Rockford Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Richmond-Burton on the 18th. As for Antioch, after both having extra time off, they and Lakes will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th.
