Soccer Game Preview: Unity Christian vs. Le Mars

The Unity Christian Knights will face off against the Le Mars Bulldogs at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Le Mars will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Unity Christian extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Knights never let Sibley-Ocheyedan get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. That's two games straight that Unity Christian have won by exactly eight goals.

Meanwhile, Jefferson kept up with Le Mars until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Bulldogs blew past the Yellowjackets 8-1. Le Mars haven't had any issues with Jefferson recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Le Mars' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 2-3-1. As for Unity Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-2.

Unity Christian beat Le Mars 3-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
