Baseball Recap: Chamblee Takes a Loss

Chamblee managed to slip by Decatur the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Chamblee came up short against Decatur on Thursday, falling 17-7. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Leo Waasdorp made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Chamblee is 2-1 when Waasdorp posts two or more runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sammy Heetderks, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Chamblee's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Decatur, they pushed their record up to 6-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Chamblee will head out to take on Arabia Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Decatur, they will be playing at home against Shiloh at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
