Softball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Madison County can now relate to. They came up short against the Cartersville Hurricanes on Monday, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Monday.

Madison County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-19 record this season. As for Cartersville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 29-4.

While Madison County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
