Baseball Recap: Brookwood Triumphs

While Brookwood's victory against Wakulla Christian School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Saints 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in February.

The win made it two in a row for Brookwood and bumps their season record up to 7-12. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Wakulla Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookwood will face off against St. John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wakulla Christian School, they will challenge Branford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight.
