Baseball Recap: Sonoraville Comes Up Short

Sonoraville was the 9-4 winner over Calhoun when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Phoenix fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sonoraville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Calhoun, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Sonoraville will head out on the road to face off against Southeast Whitfield County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Calhoun will be paying especially close attention to the Phoenix's contest: after the Phoenix face off against the Raiders, they'll take on Calhoun again at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
