Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Cornerstone Christian

Cornerstone Christian's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Unity Christian Lions as they made off with a 16-6 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cyclones considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Josh Kursell, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Evan Tom was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double.

Cornerstone Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cornerstone Christian pushed their record up to 6-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.
