Basketball Recap: Chavez's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chavez waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 47-29 win over the Wasco Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-33 back in January.

Chavez is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Wasco, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Chavez will head out on the road to face off against Shafter at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Shafter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Chavez likes a good challenge. As for Wasco, they will venture away from home to challenge Delano at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wasco is facing Delano at the right time seeing as Delano is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
