Baseball Game Preview: Stafford Indians vs. Colonial Forge Eagles

Stafford is 1-9 against Colonial Forge since March of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Stafford fell victim to Riverbend and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Bears. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Indians haven't been shut out since back in April.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Colonial Forge and Mountain View, and Mountain View kept the tradition alive. The Eagles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday.

Colonial Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Stafford couldn't quite get it done against Colonial Forge in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 7-3. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
