Softball Recap: Tekamah-Herman Comes Up Short

Tekamah-Herman fell victim to Fort Calhoun and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost four in a row.

Tekamah-Herman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Olson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Tekamah-Herman now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fort Calhoun, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tekamah-Herman will challenge rival Wayne at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fort Calhoun is set to square off against their familiar foe Syracuse at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Pioneers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
