Temple took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Mt. Zion, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Temple Tigers won by a goal and slipped past the Mt. Zion Eagles 2-1. Even though the Tigers got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Luke Rutledge was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Jalen Wirth was the driving force of Temple's attack as he scored both of Temple's goals, bringing his season total up to 11 goals.

The victory got Temple back to even at 3-3-1. As for Mt. Zion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple will head out to take on Haralson County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple will be up against Haralson County's rather soft defense (which has allowed eight goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Coosa will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
