Soccer Game Preview: Novato vs. Redwood

Novato is 0-10 against Redwood since December of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Novato Hornets will welcome the Redwood Giants at 3:15 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Novato is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to San Rafael.

Meanwhile, Redwood entered their tilt with Marin Catholic on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Wildcats onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. Give the Giants' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sarah Farese, who's now up to 14 this season.

Redwood's victory bumped their record up to 9-2-3. As for Novato, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
