Basketball Game Preview: Saint Joseph Jesters vs. Centennial Huskies

The Saint Joseph Jesters will head out to face off against the Centennial Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Saint Joseph heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Wednesday. They lost 81-59 to Etiwanda. The Jesters have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Meanwhile, Centennial faced Sierra Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Huskies took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trailblazers. The game was a 30-30 toss-up at halftime, but the Huskies couldn't quite close it out.

Saint Joseph will need to focus on slowing down Cydnee Bryant, one of several Centennial players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards. The contest was Bryant's third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Armanyie Reed, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Saint Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5.

Saint Joseph couldn't quite get it done against Centennial in their previous matchup back in January of 2025 as they fell 70-61. Can the Jesters avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
