Basketball Recap: Pea Ridge Comes Up Short

Pea Ridge lost against Elkins back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blackhawks took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elks. The contest marked the Blackhawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Pea Ridge and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Elkins, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Pea Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-46 win against Gentry on the 16th. Elkins will take on Lincoln in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Elks will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
