Soccer Recap: Monterey Trail Finishes Even with Sheldon

Monterey Trail came into Monday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Neither they nor the Sheldon Huskies could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. There's a chance things could've gone differently had the Mustangs not been charged with a red card from Arianna Ramirez-Cortez.

Monterey Trail hit Sheldon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nicole Gonzalez, Annabel Ezeh, and Hailey Yang.

Monterey Trail's draw gives them a new season record of 7-6-4. As for Sheldon, they moved theirs to 2-8-2.

Monterey Trail will be playing in front of their home fans against Elk Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sheldon, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cosumnes Oaks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
