Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Hope vs. East Greenwich

The Mt. Hope Huskies will face off against the East Greenwich Avengers on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mt. Hope is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Smithfield get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, East Greenwich faced North Smithfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Avengers blew past the Northmen 6-3. Considering East Greenwich have won ten matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

East Greenwich has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those nine contests. As for Mt. Hope, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6-6.
