Glascock County had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped up to 3-1 to make it six. Everything went their way against the Evans Knights as they made off with a 13-1 win. That looming 13-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Evans fell to 4-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this match were averaging four runs allowed.

For Evans' part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Merisa Shoener, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Braedyn Quarles also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Looking ahead, Glascock County will face off against Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evans, they will take on Briarwood Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
