Softball Recap: Bayard Comes Up Short

Bayard extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 7-14. They lost 15-0 to the Twin River Titans. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Titans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Twin River, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season.

For Twin River's part, Kaleigh Rickard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rickard has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Twin River got a massive performance out of Kielyn Dohmen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Dohmen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mya Ramaekers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Bayard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Twin River, they have already played their next game, a 14-13 win against Malcolm on the 6th.
