Softball Recap: Lakeview Vikings vs. Lincoln Northwest Falcons
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeview). They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Lincoln Northwest Falcons on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Vikings' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Cali Bentz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
