Basketball Recap: Hill Freedman World Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Nueva Esperanza

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hill Freedman World Academy). They put the hurt on Nueva Esperanza with a sharp 58-34 win on Monday. Hill Freedman World Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

Hill Freedman World Academy found their leader in sophomore Shae-Leigh Thomas, who went 10 for 20 on her way to 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Berry, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 14 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Hill Freedman World Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Nueva Esperanza, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Hill Freedman World Academy will host MAST Charter II at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hill Freedman World Academy's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so MAST Charter II's offense will have their work cut out for them. Nueva Esperanza and Swenson Arts & Tech will compete for holiday cheer at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
