Softball Recap: Jackson County Panthers vs. Apalachee Wildcats

Jackson County had won three straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped up to 13-4 to make it four. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Apalachee Wildcats. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 28, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Adalyn Mitchell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reese Wilson and Alyssa Peurifoy did most of the damage at the plate: Wilson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, while Peurifoy went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
