Soccer Game Preview: Holy Names vs. San Francisco Waldorf

The Holy Names Monarchs will take on the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Holy Names is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Jewish Community, who was ranked 14th at the time (Holy Names was ranked 16th). The Monarchs fell just short of Wolves by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Holy Names couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Rachel Hernandez, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, San Francisco Waldorf hadn't done well against Jewish Community recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on April 10th. The Wolverines put the hurt on Wolves with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for San Francisco Waldorf.

Holy Names' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for San Francisco Waldorf, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
