Soccer Game Preview: Pepperell vs. Murray County

The Pepperell Dragons will take on the Murray County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pepperell's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Pepperell's offense. They lost 5-0 to Cedartown on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Pepperell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Cedartown are ranked 73rd).

Meanwhile, Murray County kept a clean sheet against Coosa on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Murray County.

Seth Hendrickson and Julio Escobar scored both of Murray County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Murray County's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Pepperell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
