Pinewood won the last time they faced Salesian College Preparatory and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pinewood Panthers breezed by the Salesian College Preparatory Pride to the tune of 66-22. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Pinewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katherine Garr, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolyn Ding, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Pinewood was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salesian College Preparatory only racked up three assists.

When it comes to explaining why Salesian College Preparatory lost, don't look at Janiya Sawyer. Despite the final result, she posted ten points.

Pinewood has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Salesian College Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinewood will head out to square off against Priory at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Priory will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Pinewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Salesian College Preparatory, they will venture away from home to take on Saint Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salesian College Preparatory is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season.
