South Gwinnett is 7-2 against Rockdale County since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The South Gwinnett Comets will be playing at home against the Rockdale County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

South Gwinnett fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Grayson on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Rams who were credited with the win. Grayson got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to South Gwinnett's two. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Rams are ranked sixth).

Rahjae Nelson wasn't going to let Grayson walk away unscathed as he scored both of South Gwinnett's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Rockdale County is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Lakeside, falling 7-1.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Rockdale County, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.

South Gwinnett took their victory against Rockdale County when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 5-0. Will South Gwinnett repeat their success, or does Rockdale County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
