Los Alamos faced Albuquerque Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hilltoppers fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Los Alamos couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Taelin Stanfield, who's now up to nine this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Los Alamos and nudges their season record down to 6-7-1. As for Albuquerque Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5-3.

Los Alamos wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Moriarty on the 7th. As for Albuquerque Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Valley on the 9th.
