Preview: St. Paul Swordsmen vs. El Dorado Golden Hawks

The St. Paul Swordsmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the El Dorado Golden Hawks at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Paul will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while El Dorado is ranked 82nd).

Last Thursday, St. Paul came up short against St. Mary's Academy and fell 60-51. St. Paul has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, El Dorado entered their tilt with Brea Olinda with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. El Dorado secured a 52-46 W over Brea Olinda on Friday.

St. Paul has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for El Dorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

St. Paul didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against El Dorado in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, but they still walked away with a 61-56 victory. Does St. Paul have another victory up their sleeve, or will El Dorado turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
