Basketball Recap: Blue Mountain Comes Up Short

Blue Mountain was the 43-30 winner over Pine Grove when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Mountain Eagles took a 53-37 bruising from the Pine Grove Cardinals on Thursday.

Pine Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Callee Leffler, who posted 11 points. Hannah Leininger was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Blue Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Pine Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Blue Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-46 victory against Panther Valley on the 31st.
